Description
Legend states that when High Schoolers were not amused by their studies they would assemble complex pranks, often a target of these shenanigans would be the school swimming pool. Everything from turning the water colors, placing desks or chairs at the bottom, or even changing it into a pit of a tasty treat called Jello.
This is the legend that many agree to be the reason that there is a 45 pound cube of Uranium-235 that sits at the bottom of the schools pool.
Some however believe that the metal casing that clearly once held the block was the rest of a weapon that failed to decimate the school.
Regardless of how the block came to be, it now boils the pool’s water at a staggering rate. Once the surrounding entrepreneurial types took note of this reaction they decided to take advantage of it. By feeding the pool with water from the Fox River and then placing enormous turbines throughout the schools many halls, they were able to harness the steam filling the school, turn the turbines, and create massive amounts of electricity.
Thus began the Gamma Guild. The main electrical output facility for the surrounding region. They are able to trade for both labor and many various goods due to their priceless commodity. However, unlimited nuclear energy does not come without its burdens. One of which makes the Gamma Guild extremely easy to recognize, their incredible deformities and mutations.
